Key Criteria for Selecting a Padel Court

Before purchasing a padel court, several critical factors must be evaluated. Construction quality includes the thickness and grade of the steel structure, the quality of welded joints, the anti-corrosion protection of the steel (the type of metallic coating, ordinary zinc or zinc-aluminium-magnesium (ZM), and the paint system) and wind resistance, which depends on the model and configuration. Safety features encompass tempered safety glass to EN 12150-1, the way the glass is fixed, metal mesh strength, rounded edges without sharp burrs, and an effective drainage system.

MejorSet — Official Court of FIP and Premier Padel

According to the manufacturer’s technical documentation, the standard models are built on Magnelis® zinc-aluminium-magnesium (ZM) steel with QUALICOAT® powder coating, load-bearing elements use S350GD structural steel, and the glass is 12 mm tempered safety glass (15 mm on the X-Treme), manufactured to UNE EN 12150-1. The declared wind rating depends on the model and configuration: 140 km/h for the standard configuration of the Panoramic RC-10, Full Panoramic, FIP Official Court, Premier Padel Official Court and MejorSet Kids, 190 km/h for the Panoramic RC MAX and 265 km/h for the X-Treme. According to the manufacturer, the modular design allows standard configurations to be assembled on a prepared base in about three days. Delivery takes about 33 days from order confirmation, including transport.

FIP Certification and Tournament Editions

The FIP Official Court is a limited edition made in collaboration with the International Padel Federation (FIP), and the Panoramic RC-10 is built to FIP specifications. All current models use tempered safety glass to UNE EN 12150-1, and the manufacturer’s technical documentation lists ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and CE UNE-EN 1090. MejorSet is the official court of FIP and Premier Padel. For tournament use there are the FIP Official Court and Premier Padel Official Court editions; the Premier Padel Official Court comes as standard with Mondo SuperCourt X3 turf and a shock absorption system.

Comparing Manufacturers

The market features a wide range of padel court manufacturers, from premium to economy options. The key difference is not whether the glass is tempered — tempered safety glass is the industry standard — but how the steel is protected and how the glass is fixed. According to MejorSet, most of the industry uses an ordinary zinc coating (Z200 or Z275), while MejorSet builds its standard models on ZM (Magnelis®) steel, whose cuts and scratches self-seal. At the central point of the wall, MejorSet fixes the glass with structural polymer instead of drilling it, and the X-Treme and Panoramic RC MAX have no drilled holes at all. The Panoramic RC-10 is the Full Panoramic with corners added and offers more colour and branding options. Both models share a Magnelis steel structure with QUALICOAT coating, 12 mm tempered glass, Mondo SHOT XN turf and the foldable mesh system for injury prevention.
