When it comes to elite padel competitions, one name keeps coming up — MejorSet. The Spanish manufacturer is the official court of the International Padel Federation (FIP) and Premier Padel, and its courts are present at the biggest international tournaments. The Premier Padel Official Court is the official court of the Premier Padel tour.

What Makes the MejorSet Premier Padel Official Court Special

MejorSet is a Spanish manufacturer with more than 20 years of experience that has installed more than 10,000 courts in over 70 countries (source: mejorset.com). The Premier Padel Official Court is its special edition and the official court of Premier Padel since 2024, used at venues such as Paris, Rome, Madrid, Miami, Milan and Barcelona.

How to recognise this tournament padel court:

• Half-racquet shaped light posts — a design reserved for this model
• Shock absorption system — blocks vibrations at the moment of player impact and extends the court’s lifetime
• Premier Padel and MejorSet logos on the structure, protectors, net post and entrance
• Gold Edition or Black Edition — a frame in Premier Padel gold or black
• Mondo SuperCourt X3 as the standard turf, instead of the Mondo SHOT XN used on the other models

Construction

Every Premier Padel Official Court is built on a self-supporting galvanised steel frame with two perimeter rings, lower and upper. The upper ring is reinforced with 5 mm sheet metal, and three horizontal crossbars (40 x 5 mm) prevent buckling. The electro-welded mesh (50 x 50 x 4 mm) has no projections, and the foldable mesh system reduces the risk of player injury.

Certified Materials

Production runs under an audited ISO 9001 quality management system, and the manufacturer’s documentation for this model also lists EUROCODES, ISO 14001 and CE UNE-EN 1090. Key materials:

12 mm tempered glass: certified tempered glass to UNE EN 12150-1; side and back panes of 2 x 3 m are mounted on 5 mm neoprene. At the centre of the wall, where the hardest impacts land, MejorSet fixes the glass with structural polymer instead of drilling it.

Certified artificial turf: The Premier Padel Official Court comes standard with Mondo SuperCourt X3 — a 10 mm textured turf developed by Mondo for Premier Padel and the official turf of FIP and Premier Padel. It combines XNOVA, XOMEGA and XDELTA textured monofilaments on a two-layer polypropylene backing, offers increased rotational and longitudinal traction and is certified GREENGUARD and REACH. It is available in blue and grey.

Quartz sand: the infill is washed and dried quartz sand. The textured fibres hold the sand between the filaments, giving an even ball bounce and consistent grip with less brushing.

Official Status — FIP and Premier Padel

MejorSet is the official court of the International Padel Federation, and the FIP Official Court is its limited edition developed in collaboration with FIP. Official status means MejorSet courts are present at the biggest international Premier Padel and FIP tournaments.

The Premier Padel Official Court and the FIP Official Court are two different models. The FIP Official Court has a RAL 5026 blue frame, FIP logos and Mondo SHOT XN Blue turf; the Premier Padel Official Court has a gold or black frame, Premier Padel logos, SuperCourt X3 turf, half-racquet light posts and the shock absorption system.

Lighting and Facility Management

Lighting: The Premier Padel Official Court comes with LED lighting of 12 × 150 W LED Projects LINE luminaires. LED Projects optics are developed specifically for padel, with asymmetric light distribution and reduced glare and shadows. For national and international competition or broadcast filming, lighting is specified for the level of play — best decided at the outset, because replacing posts and fixtures later is expensive.

Net lettering can be customised, for example with a tournament name.

Facility management: Smart Padel, a separate system that is not part of the court, provides PIN, RFID or Bluetooth access, automatic lighting control, booking-system integration and analytics.

What to Know Before You Build

Acoustics

For indoor courts and courts next to residential buildings, a 12 mm laminated tempered glass upgrade is available for better acoustics.

Base and Drainage

Mondo turf is water-permeable. The level base (a concrete or asphalt slab), drainage and the power connections for lighting are prepared by the client to our technical specifications, which we send on request. Care and Warranty

Magnelis steel with a QUALICOAT-certified coating reduces wear on the frame and paint, but the court is not maintenance-free: the structural polymer joints need regular care. The manufacturer’s warranty is set per component: structural integrity 10 years (when the manufacturer’s mounting specifications are followed), frame paint 2 years, glass until installation is completed by an authorized team, and turf and lighting under their manufacturers’ terms.
